In music, the pitch of a note means how high or low the note is Treble Clef for high notes Bass Clef for low notes 2
Accidentals are signs that are put just before a note to tell the musicians to change the pitch Flat Sharp Natural 3
Flat The flat lowers the pitch by a semitone Sharp The sharp raises the pitch by a semitone Natural The natural cancels any previous sign 4
B The pitch goes down from B to B flat B Bb Bb B B Bb B 5
F The pitch goes up from F to F sharp F F# F# F F 6
Natural cancels the flat out B The pitch goes up from B flat to B natural B Bb Bb B B Bb B 7
Natural cancels the sharp out The pitch goes down from F sharp to F natural F F F# F# F F 8
Flat Natural Sharp An accidental lasts until another one on the same line or space cancels it, or until the next bar line 9
The natural sign cancels out the sharp. The pitch goes down from F sharp to F 10
The natural sign cancels out the flat. The B flat goes up one pitch to B 11
The sharp is cancelled out by the bar line. F sharp goes down one pitch to F 12
