INTRODUCTION • Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 and he died on January 6, 1919 and he did many great adventures in the progressive era. As like when he helped the workers in coal industries to have less wages.

BECOMING A PRESIDENT • He was the governor of New York in 1898. After the death of William Mc. Kinley was murdered and because Theodore Roosevelt was Vice President teddy became president in 1901. In that exact moment he was the youngest president. This was the begging of the bull in politics. • Once he was president he was helping people to have low wages of work and he helped more people on there work and other industries as like the coal and trains

INDUSTRIES • Theodore Roosevelt was a very forceful president that makes people do certain things. In that time he made up something called the square deal so people can have lower waged of work time. He also made dangerous workplaces to have a few rules so they will not get sick and die or get injuries. Before Theodore came up and helped the workers in the factories they started to form Unions. • The coal miners had a strike that shook America in May 1902. Nearly 150, 000 worker walked out of the mine and did protests and strikes. Roosevelt came in and said to both sides to stop the strike. Then the owner said to send troops and end the strike but Theodore didn’t lesson and said that he will takeover the mine. The owner backfired and America cheered for the work he did.

SWEATSHOPS • In the progressive era there were Sweatshops , and those places are where you get less money when you work there for hours and hours. Children parents or anybody else in the sweatshops are treated as like slave. on March 25, 1911 in a sweatshop broke a fire and all of the elevators were jammed elevators and the doors were locked so many of the worker died •
