Theme Park Design Introduction The Board of Directors at FUNVILLE have decided to open a new theme park in our city! They want help to design the new park and are auditioning for a lead architect. Your submission must include rides, walkways, snack stands – even bathrooms! You’ll need to be careful because the park only has a certain amount of land to build on and you will need to stay within the boundaries. See below for the exact requirements. Good Luck! Requirements: • • • The park must have at least 4 LARGE rides (no smaller than 50 square meters) such as: haunted house, bumper cars, hedge maze, circus show… The entrance must be clearly marked Walkways must be included throughout the park You must include one (1) pool or water feature The park must have at least one (1) Ferris Wheel There must be at least one (1) restaurant You must include at least four (4) bathrooms You must include at least two (2) gift shops You must include at least two (2) snack stands Remember to include an information kiosk You need at least ONE rollercoaster (must be no less than 100 meters long, but can cross over itself) You will have 600 square meters of land to build your incredible Theme Park. This includes rides, walkways, buildings, and whatever else you create. 2 – Use the provided checklist to make sure that your submission meets the requirements 3 – Create a map, and label it clearly (or include a legend) so that viewers are able to understand it 4 – Your submission must show craftsmanship, including neatness, colour, and clear, clean lines
