WORKCALLS 0 Workcalls are open to both technical and performance-based students. Workcalls can include anything from constructing a piece of the set to painting. It is an afterschool, voluntary activity however if a student wishes to obtain a Thes. Con scholarship they are required to attend all workcalls. Despite being voluntary, it is highly recommended that you attend all workcalls because not only does it majorly benefit the program, it makes you a more well-rounded theatre artist. Of course it is imperative to gain construction skills as a technician, but it never hurts an actor either. In fact, it is extremely impressive to have a person who can do both.
Fundraising Students are able to fundraise their fee through the selling of ad space in the program. Reminder it is a 50/50 split 50% goes to the student and 50% goes to the program. Example a $100 full page ad credits the student $50. Information can be found on Sponsorship and Ad packet page on website.

Why our students love MVT “The reason for why I love MVT is quite simple. I really like being able to entertain other people and express myself at the same time. Of course you can do this anywhere but MVT strives for exceptional quality in performing for others. This quality is something quite unique and special for a high school and knowing that is really empowering. ” Maddie Watts (Junior) “My happiest memory of Theatre was our first night out after opening night of Wedding Singer. We all went to Chili's and it felt so carefree and fun since we were proud of our performance. It was the first time I felt really close to theatre members and I wouldn't change that feeling for the world” -Emily Johnston (Senior)
“One of my favorite memories is dancing in Betts’ room to get our energy up and to get the cast hype before the show” - Keenan Baxter (Senior) “My highlight of senior year and happiest memory of MVT is when we won One act region for the show Peter and the Starcatcher. It was a new experience for me going to one act competition. And for my year to win one act region and break history for Mountain view Theatre was an amazing accomplishment. And it was very special for the cast/crew and Mrs. Ankiel to share this Adventure and memory together of going to state and compete because it is a new experience for everyone. And to place third was a fantastic achievement for going to state for the first time. ” - Katelin Nguyen (Alum)
This program will always offer help and guidance to those who ask for it, and will undoubtedly feel welcome, no matter who they are or what or where they come from. –MVT Student Leadership Board
