the Writing Process ✢prewriting: brainstorming, getting our ideas out on paper ✢rough draft: write about your topic, no need to worry too much about spelling or mistakes right now. That will come later. ✢revise and edit: read over what is written and decide how to make it better. Add more details, get rid of unnecessary words, correct errors. ✢publish: write your final draft in a nice, neat manner, add illustrations, and then share with others.

For teachers’ purposes: Differentiated instruction ~I would give challenged students a page with the web already drawn and predetermined questions already written into the details circles. ~I would allow student to cut pictures out of a magazine instead of drawing ~I would edit the students paragraph instead of having another student do it, and so they don’t have to edit someone else’s page ~For gifted students, I would have them write either a longer paragraph or even 2 paragraphs
