X 3 DOM (pronounced "X-Freedom”) Framework ● X 3 DOM = X 3 D + DOM ● An open source Java. Script framework ● Used to create 3 D scenes declaratively in Web pages ● Based on standard browser technology - No plugin is needed to display X 3 DOM scenes
Problem Statement & Research Question ● Hyperlinks do not feature in 3 D web content. ● Yet hyperlinks are an essential element in the Web. ● How do we enhance 3 D content interaction with hyperlink?
Goals Adding clickable content in an X 3 DOM scene that leads to another page/scene ● A web of such scenes containing such hyperlinks to other scenes Developing a Guestbook widget ● Visitors can leave their own web addresses of their own X 3 DOM page ● Visitors can find those pages from earlier visitors and visit them

Upcoming Work ● Fine tuning the look of 3 D environment ● Hook up front end guest book widget to the Web API that store guest book data ● Usability test evaluation
Discussion and Lessons Learnt ● Understanding and defining the Project Requirements ● 3 D Designing ● Team Members having different perspectives ● Had to make some assumptions ● Time Constraints
Conclusion Hyperlink is implemented in 3 D scene to make it behave in a similar way to hypertext content.
