The Virginia Plan Review Process • Six-year review and stakeholder input began in July 2019. • After a pause in the springtime, the input process resumed in May with input shaped by recent events. • Equity as an overarching issue and important theme to carry throughout. • Pursuit of intentional and succinct changes. 2
The Virginia Plan Review Timeline • September 14: Obtain Council consensus on The Virginia Plan goal concepts. • October: Approve revisions to The Virginia Plan goals. • October - December: Conduct additional stakeholder outreach; seek input on remaining plan elements. • January: Approve revised version of The Virginia Plan, close out the six-year review process. 3

The Virginia Plan Review – Emerging Themes Three overarching topics have emerged from input over the past year, amplified further by recent events. Those topics are reframed as goals below.
