Example: ICARUS and TIRAMISU • ICARUS: Integrated Components for Assisted Rescue and Unmanned Search operations • TIRAMISU: Toolbox Implementation for Removal of Anti-personnel Mines, Submunitions and UXO • The TIRAMISU and ICARUS consortia have contributed to the assessment of the damage caused by the Bosnia-Herzegovina 2014 floods. Example: Wiser • Wide-Impact cyber SEcurity Risk framework • Sintef is a partner, but also a small Belgian SME with 12 employees, a mid-sized Slovenian SME (50 -200 employees) and a big French SME • The WISER services are presented with particular focus on Cyber. Example: SECUR-ED • Secured Urban Transportation - European Demonstration • Bergen has been used as satellite demonstration city. • Although it is a very big project with the best known players in the field, the Universitetet I Stavanger and several SMEs are playing a role in this project. => Don’t underestimate yourself and the contribution you can make UNIVERSITY OF BERGEN
Example: Alert 4 All • Alert 4 All focuses on improving the effectiveness of one element of the People-Centred Early Warning Systems paradigm, namely alert and communication towards the population in crises management. • Comparable system used in the 2016 New York and New Jersey bombings, to capture suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami UNIVERSITY OF BERGEN
