GARY PAULSEN Gary Paulsen was born in 1939 in Minneapolis and is one of America’s most popular writers for young people.
GARY PAULSEN He was not a strong student and lacked motivation. After receiving a library card and a book from a local librarian, Paulsen became an avid reader At 14, he ran away from home and worked for a circus. In his life, he also worked as a farm hand, an engineer, a construction worker, ranch hand, truck driver, and Alaskan dog sledder!
GARY PAULSEN Paulsen spent a summer as a magazine proof reader in Hollywood, but left the job, rented a cabin in Minnesota and started writing! He would sometimes write for 18 -20 hours a day!
GARY PAULSEN He has written more than 175 books, and 200 articles and short stories. He received the Newbery Honor Award for his novels Hatchet, Dogsong, and The Winter Room. The Newbery Honor Award
