The Story of Nick Keutzer The Story of a Boy Who Found his identity in God’s forgiveness

I was raised in an amazing Christian family We went to church them every week and did everything a Christian should really doing.

I did everything I thought I needed to be saved I listened carefully to all of the sermons I even lifted my hands and sang the songs to worship with everyone else

I went through every motion I thought there was to being a Christian But was there more? I couldn’t help feeling that there was still something missing…

What was it I was missing? Maybe it was the bread and the juice I saw pass by me every week Could there really be something special about them?

Or maybe there was something different about the water Was the water somehow super-spiritual? Could it transform me into someone qualified to go to heaven?

I decided to just keep living the best “Christian” life I could But as I watch everyone else worshipping; As I passed along the communion trays; And as I watched so many of my friends Being immersed in the baptismal, I knew there was still something wrong

I knew God had something better for me I started attended a Wednesday night Bible study at our church. One night I really got what the speaker was saying I finally understood what it was that I needed to do…

Nothing Jesus had already done it all for me! I am not able to make it to heaven on my own. I am not good enough and never could be.

It is all because of Grace! I finally realized that no matter how well I tried to live my life, it would be impossible for me as a sinner to ever dwell with God forever Salvation is not something I could earn, But rather something I needed to receive

It is because of this grace that I have been redeemed and can finally have the chance to spend eternity with my creator I am still nowhere near perfect, but every day I am now able to become more like Jesus
