The story of. . . Cinderella
Cinderella was a poor young girl. . . her 3 ugly step sisters and her evil step mother made her live as a slave for many years. She always hoped and dreamed that one day she would meet her Prince Charming, who would sweep her off her feet – but she always knew that was unlikely. She would just continue to be a servant and not be noticed by anyone. . .
One day, a letter came to where Cinderella lived. It was an invitation from the Prince himself inviting all of the women in the village to attend his ball. . . he wanted to meet his Princess! Cinderella wanted to go, but her evil family wouldn’t let her. . . plus she wouldn’t have anything to wear! After they left for the ball, Cinderella’s Fairy God Mother appeared. . .
The Fairy God Mother made Cinderella a Beautiful Dress, gave her gorgeous glass slippers and told her to go to the ball and have a wonderful time. She even turned a pumpkin into a coach to take her to the Prince’s ball. There was one condition – at the stroke of 12, Cinderella would lose the magic power. She had to be home by Midnight no matter what!
Cinderella had such a magical time at the Ball. The Prince danced with her almost all night, without even looking at any of the other girls. Cinderella got so swept up in the moment that she didn’t notice the time! The Clock struck 12 and Cinderella ran down the steps from the Ball trying to do as her Fairy God Mother had asked! Because she was running so quickly – she lost one of her glass slippers. She didn’t even notice the Prince calling out to her!
The next day, the Prince wanted to find the girl he had danced with all night. He knew the slipper belonged to her. He searched the kingdom asking every girl to try on the slipper but of course it didn’t fit any of them. Cinderella was the very last person to try it on. . . of course it fit perfectly. The Prince and Cinderella fell in love and lived. . . Happily Ever After!
