Trotsky Vs. Stalin
Trotsky’s Position ¬Urged for rapid industrialization paid by farm production. ¬Agriculture should be collectivized.
Stalin’s Position ¬More brutal ¬Supported collectivization of all landholdings and that communism could be successful in Russia alone.
Trotsky Exiled ¬Removed from office, expelled from party and exiled to Siberia. ¬Moved to Mexico where he was assassinated by Stalin’s agents.
The rd 3 International ¬Comintern- worked to make the Bolshevik model of socialism, the model for socialist parties outside of U. S. S. R.
The Destruction of Democratic Socialism ¬Accused non-supporters of the Comintern of betraying the working class. ¬Created competing socialist parties in most of Europe. ¬Non-socialists begin to fear the rise of the Communiststyle governments.
