• Emperor Charlemagne’s Charlemagne army has successfully defeated Saracens in Spain except for Saragosa (the place where King Marsilion rules)

• King Marsilion sent a message to Charlemagne. He promised that will convert to Christianity if Charlemagne will leave Spain

• Roland offered to go to King Marsilion’s place, but Charlemagne did not trust the King’s words so he neglected his nephew’s offer • Roland then suggested Ganelon to go instead

• Ganelon got mad and accused be plotting his step-son to death • Together with King Marsilion’s messenger, Ganelon plotted Roland’s death

• Ganelon urged King Marsilion that it’s Roland who’s behind Emperor Charlemagne’s every action • Due to what Ganelon did, the King’s men ambushed Roland his troops

• Roland, despite Oliver’s objection, believed Archbishop Turpin and strongly blew his Olifant for help

• Ganelon told Charlemagne that the sound didn’t mean anything, but the emperor did not believe him and went back for Roland’s aid

• Roland was the last French standing, but some Saracens attacked him and he died due to lack of energy

• When the Emperor arrived, no one’s left alive • The Emperor together with his men killed Marsilion and the Saracens who killed Roland

• Charlemagne returned to France for Ganelon’s hearing • Ganelon was tore into pieces

• Charlemagne sets off wars again, but without Roland belonged to legend song with now who and
