smart. INMO Integrated NOTAM, METEO Operations and Flight Plans
Dynamic Data Short-term information, which may change frequently NOTAM: Notice to Airmen – Information to pilots describing changes to static data (e. g. bird swarms, runway closures, runway icing, cranes, …) – have a location (may affect an area) and a validity Flight Plans: – Describe the route along which a flight will be flown – Include information about the timing – Include information about the aircraft capabilities and equipment Meteo Information: – METAR, TAF, SIGMET: textual information describing the weather situation © FREQUENTIS Page: 2013 22 FREQUENTIS. ppt CONFIDENTIAL Presentation Date: 2013 -08 -11 Author: Hannes Brunner
smart. INMO – Highlights Provides an integrated dynamic data management solution: NOTAM, Flight Plan, METEO Provides Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIB) in conjunction with Flight Plans and MET information Offers NOTAM Summaries and other NOTAM Retrieval Functions (PIBs and Profile Management) Provides ICAO 4444 compliant flight plan management (FPL 2012) Integrated Web Briefing Applications SNOWIZ, NOTAMWIZ Digital NOTAM © FREQUENTIS Page: 2013 23 FREQUENTIS. ppt CONFIDENTIAL Presentation Date: 2013 -08 -11 Author: Hannes Brunner

INMO – NOTAM and METEO Management Convenient solution for the exchange of NOTAMs in every country – linkage of the NOTAM to the 2 nd language version as well as the Static Data affected Full integration with smart. DM database Automatic processing of checklists and RQN Applies ICAO and OPADD rules for validation Automated forms for NOTAM, SNOWTAM, ASHTAM, SIGMET, AIRMET, METAR, TAF, GAMET, SPECI Digital NOTAM © FREQUENTIS Page: 2013 24 FREQUENTIS. ppt CONFIDENTIAL Presentation Date: 2013 -08 -11 Author: Hannes Brunner
Digital NOTAM is a sub-concept of AIXM 5. It was the main reason for the FAA to support the standard. Digital NOTAM follows a different timeline than the “rest” of AIXM. SWIM will be the transport mechanism. – ICAO does not have a standard for it yet. SWIM is only worked no by FAA / Eurocontrol – Before the transport issue is finally defined and standardised on a world-wide basis, it is therefore unlikely that a global replacement of traditional NOTAM transmitted via AFTN can be achieved in the foreseeable future. © FREQUENTIS Page: 2013 25 FREQUENTIS. ppt CONFIDENTIAL Presentation Date: 2013 -08 -11 Author: Hannes Brunner
