2 -1 -2 and 3 rd Declension Adjectives (masculine-feminine-neuter)
Overview • Adjectives do not have to agree with nouns in declension. • However, they must agree with the nouns they modify in Gender, Number, and Case. • There are two types of adjectives, 2 -1 -2 and 3 rd declension adjectives (2 and 1 terminations).
2 -1 -2 Adjectives • These adjectives can be identified by their nominative endings of us, a, and um. • The masculine form of a 2 -1 -2 adjective declines like the second declension. • The feminine form of the adjective declines like the first declension. • And the neuter form declines like the 2 nd Declension Neuter.
