The Greek gods and the Roman gods were the same, they just had different names • Architecture- Built amazing structures: the Colosseum, the Forum, the Circus Maximus, the aqueducts • Government- Roman Republic was based on Greek ideas of democracy • Education- Romans studied philosophy, mathematics, astronomy. Used these to improve and increase the Empire.

They went through mountains and over valleys. • The greatest architectural achievement in Rome was the Colosseum, an arena that held 50, 000 people.
