The role of women in Spain has changed dramatically throughout history in the last 30 years. There have been a new strong role and integration in the political, social and economic fields. Many groups and collectives of women of those generations have advanced to get gender equality.

One influence that had contributed to this dramatic change would be globalization. The role of the woman-wife-mother was a key element of the ideology of Franco regime.
