Entering Grades: A Few Things to Keep in Mind • Final grades cannot be entered in Course. Den. • The last date of attendance (for I, F grades) must be between the start and end of the session. • Faculty receives email notifications about grade submission.

Ro-103 Grades Grade Changes…. WHEN?

Ro-103 Grades Grade Appeal Review and Decision Process 1. Student Initiates the Grade Appeal process and submits all paperwork to the Department Chair of the department in which the course is taught. 2. Department Chair consults with the student and with the faculty member involved. 3. The Chair examines the available evidence and renders a decision: either grant the appeal and change the grade, or deny the appeal. 4. The Chair notifies the student of his/her decision. 5. If the appeal is granted, the Chair submits the grade change in writing to the Registrar’s Office for processing. 6. If the appeal is denied, the student can accept the decision or appeal to the Dean.

Ro-103 Grades Grade Replacement Policy A student may repeat a course taken at West Georgia in order to replace an earlier grade earned in a course taken Fall 1996 or later.

Ro-103 Grades Student Classification Freshman Sophomore Junior Senior 0— 29 earned semester hours 30— 59 60— 89 90 or more

Ro-103 Grades Academic Standards Students will be evaluated each semester of enrollment on the basis of cumulative grade point average and the total number of hours attempted. Hours Attempted Grade Point Average 1 -30 1. 8 31 -60 1. 9 61+ hours 2. 0

Ro-103 Grades Academic Warning All students who fail to meet academic standards will be on Academic Warning the next semester of enrollment.

Ro-103 Grades Academic Probation All students, who fail to meet the conditions to be removed from or stay on Academic Warning will be placed on Academic Probation the next semester of enrollment.

Ro-103 Grades Academic Suspension Students who do not earn a minimum semester grade point average of 2. 0 while on Academic Probation regardless of the cumulative GPA will be suspended for one semester.

Ro-103 Grades Academic Dismissal Students on probation after a one year suspension, who do not make a 2. 0 on all work attempted in each subsequent semester of enrollment regardless of the cumulative GPA will be dismissed.

Ro-103 Grades Gradate students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3. 0 or higher to remain in Good Academic Standing.
