• The Reformation must be taken into historical context—as a historical phenomenon. • It is truly one of the Big watershed events in Western Civilization; along with Classical antiquity, Jesus Christ, Mohammad, English Common Law and the Constitution of the United States. • May seem relatively unimportant today, but without the Reformation “justification by faith” and ‘Grace’ would be tied to iconography, politics, and human intervention.
