The Plumb-Line of God 2 Amos 7: 7 -8 7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. 8 And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
The Plumb-Line of God 3 Introduction • A plumb line is a simple tool use since the early ages • So declared in our text by Amos • A plumb line is used when erecting a structure • It will measure the straightness of the structure • The plumb-line here is God’s Law How do we measure up?
