Day 1: Jesus’ Trial, Crucifixion, and Burial Friday the 15 th of Nisan • Mark 15: 1 – The day after Passover – Numbers 28: 16 -17 – Exodus 12: 15 -20; 12: 33 -35 • So filled with envy, the Jewish leaders spent the day not remembering their ancestral deliverance from Egypt, but concentrating on killing Jesus – (Matthew 1: 21 -23) | Matthew 23: 23

Day 2: Jesus Stays in the Tomb • Saturday, the 16 th of Nisan, the Sabbath – Exodus 20: 8 -11 | Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy … For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. • Even the resurrection from the dead of the Son of God would not profane the Sabbath rest.

Day 3: Jesus Raised from the Dead Sunday the 17 th of Nisan • Matthew 28: 1 -10 • 1 Corinthians 15: 54 -47 • (Mark 8: 31 -33)

Conclusion • No man could control or orchestrate events in such a manner as this. • Jesus entered Jerusalem as the lamb led to the slaughter. He kept the Passover Feast on the 14 th. • John 2: 18 -22 – Matthew 27: 62 -66; 26: 59 -66
