Forms is accurate. i. e. , medical history, contact phone numbers, etc. Parents and students must create accounts that are linked. Parents AND athletes must sign up for each team that the athlete wishes to participate on AND sign all required forms electronically. Updated physical forms must continue to be turned in to athletic department personnel. Expiration dates will be monitored and email notifications will be sent out via Final. Forms as expiration dates approach. Valid for 13 months!

Basic Athletic Guidelines
• OHSAA Academic Eligibility & KCS Guidelines • � Academic Eligibility - Must pass 5 credits (HS) or 5 classes (MS) previous 9 weeks. � Semester grades, yearly grades or summer school grades DO NOT effect academic eligibility! � ALL athletes must be in school THE LAST HALF OF THE SCHOOL DAY, signed in by 11 AM to attend practice and/or games for that day. (10: 35 on early dismissal days) � NO ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL, NO ATTENDANCE AT GAME OR PRACTICE.
• Additional Kent City Schools Guidelines • � No athletic participation without an updated physical and ALL forms electronically signed on Final. Forms. � ALL athletes must sign the ODH concussion form prior to each season. Even those that have participated this school year.

KENT CITY SCHOOLS “No New Tax” Bond Issue
Why a “No New Tax” Bond Issue? Bonds issued over 20 years ago to construct Stanton Middle School and renovate Roosevelt High School and Davey Elementary School are maturing. Kent Schools is taking advantage of this opportunity for our district and community to make needed improvements to all of our schools at no new cost to the taxpayer. This $25 -million bond issue would NOT raise taxes for our homeowners.
Community Feedback for 2019 -2024 Strategic Plan ● We asked the community for input and our Kent residents were clear: ● Immediate necessity is to keep our students safe and maintain the community’s investment in our schools.

● This 2. 36 -mill bond issue will NOT increase taxes. ● It will yield $25, 190, 000 to make needed safety and facility improvements in the schools. ● The new bonds will be financed over a maximum 30 -year term. How Much will a “No New Tax” Bond Issue Raise?
Bond Issue Tax Cost to Homeowners On a $100, 000 homeowners will continue to pay $82. 59 a year.
Making Needed Improvements What we plan to do: 1. Improve Safety and Security in all of our Schools 2. Improve Instructional Environment 3. Improve Performing Arts and Athletic Facilities
How Did We Estimate Project Costs? Recommendations and cost estimates to the Board of Education for each project provided by representatives of Then. Design Architecture (TDA) and Hammond Construction, firms with experience in school-related renovation projects across the state.
Improve Safety and Security in ALL of our schools (Est. Cost= $5, 957, 787) 1. Entry vestibules: each school will have increased security during the day 2. Exterior LED lighting: lighting upgrades will provide security and be cost effective 3. Redesigned traffic/ circulation/ parking on secondary campus: student & visitor vehicle and pedestrian safety will be increased 4. Additional Davey and Roosevelt parking: increased safety by parking closer to the building 5. Building access controls: electronic access will provide increased security
Improve Instructional Environment (Est. Cost= $6, 431, 463) 1. Install air conditioning in elementary and high school classrooms (Stanton Middle School is already air conditioned) 2. Interior LED lighting (lighting upgrades will provide security and be cost effective) 3. Replace elementary gym flooring (used for instruction, cafeteria and assemblies) 4. Walls classroom addition and Roosevelt Multipurpose room (increased classroom versatility in the building) 5. Davey and Stanton flooring upgrades 6. Stanton roof upgrade
Improve Performing Arts and Athletic Facilities (Est. Cost Roosevelt= $6, 317, 597) (Est. Cost District= $6, 069, 153) 1. Richard Roberts auditorium renovation 2. Roosevelt Gym Expansion 3. Stadium upgrades with artificial turf and fieldhouse 4. Natatorium renovation
