Ph. D degree: 15% Postdoc: 20% Reversed pipeline? No, 50% of Ph. D-students and 80% of postdocs is non-Dutch (numbers based on FOM-employees [1]) (For men: 39% of Ph. D-students and 70% of postdocs in non-Dutch) [1] The Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM) promotes, co-ordinates and finances fundamental physics research in the Netherlands. FOM employs about 325 Ph. D students and 100 postdocs. They work at FOM research institutes and in university laboratories.
