the NEIGHBORHOODS NETWORK t. NN INTEGRITY 1
INTEGRITY of t. NN Must Nurture and Protect Itself 1. Every organization has to concern itself with its proper functioning and its growth to maturity. 2. To properly function, its structural parts have to be monitored and maintained. 3. Organizations have to evolve to adapt to changing circumstances, to correct faulty architecture in itself, and to upgrade its structural components. 4. There are those who abhor democracy and who will work to inhibit and destroy t. NN. 2
INTEGRITY of t. NN Must Function Properly 1. At first, simple communication and simple lists of other NGUs will suffice. This will be the embryonic t. NN. 2. As the NGUs grow in number, formal Registries will have to be built to list them. Relays will have to be built. 3. The NIN will have to emerge. Formal computer programs and data bases will have to be built along with search engines. 4. Growth will have to be regularized with methods for helping new NGUs get started and operating effectively. 3
INTEGRITY of t. NN Must Maintain Its Integrity 1. Registries should be examined for correctness of their NGU data and properation of their access forms. 2. Relays should be tested for proper handling of IDs, PDs, and MDAs. 3. Material inserted into the NIN should be checked for accuracy, and the search engines and organization of the data should be tested for accuracy and ease of access. 4. Each NGU should probably have a small work group whose primary function is to randomly check the 4 network.
INTEGRITY of t. NN Must Evolve 1. As t. NN begins only the simplest structure is required for NGUs to communicate and collaborate. 2. A more mature t. NN, to properly function, must monitor its structural parts and be maintained. 3. Organizations have to evolve to adapt to changing circumstances, to correct faulty architecture in itself, and to upgrade their structural components. 4. With time, the NGUs constituting t. NN should constantly find ways to become more efficient and effective. 5
INTEGRITY of t. NN Those Who Abhor Democracy Will Work to Destroy t. NN 1. t. NN is an existential threat to those who benefit from the aristocratic form of society. 2. Others, who simply fear rule by the people, will side with the aristocrats. 3. These will vilify t. NN in the mass media, and will try to subvert t. NN in a variety of ways. 6
INTEGRITY of t. NN Specific Attacks May Be: 4. Creation of phantom NGUs, devoid of real neighborhood members, consisting only of malicious web-sites, operated only to create malicious IDs and PDs to embarrass t. NN and create bad publicity and internal confusion. 5. Our best protection will be to function openly, honestly, and produce good results; and to vigilantly test and maintain t. NN's vital structures: the Registries, Relays and the NIN. 7
