v. Promote the development of the National Academy as an internationally-oriented teaching and research complex recognized at the world level, its extensive integration to the world educative, scientific, cultural and administrative areas; v. Promote the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation of the National Academy on the bilateral and multilateral bases with the best foreign training and research institutions, international organizations and funds; v. Creating of the developed and efficient system of administration and coordination of international activities of the National Academy and its structural units. The National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine – innovative training and research institution recognized in the world system of education, integrated in the global (especially European) academic and administrative areas, is the leader in the field of knowledge “Public Administration” and is opened for implementation of the best current models and approaches to the organization of training, research and administrative activities.
Strategic objectives of the Division vpromoting to the establishing of the National Academy as an opened one to the innovations and new technologies research and educative center of the world level, the effective partner for the most prestigious schools of public administration, international programs, organizations and funds; vpromoting to the development of the National Academy as the institution of the international level of education, attracted foreign students, postgraduates and professors; vpromoting to the mobility of students and research and teaching staff of the National Academy in the frame of the Bologna process, extending of their training, internship and training practices in the foreign educational institutions and international organizations.
Main values and principles of the Division’s activities vpurposefulness, unity of professional goals and objectives of all participants of the international activities; vcomprehensive, systematic thinking, involving of employees of the Division to all processes at the National Academy; vcustomer orientation: student, teacher, the National Academy as a whole; vinitiative, creativity; vopenness, readiness for fruitful cooperation at all levels; vmutual assistance, the corporate spirit; vclear division of responsibilities between the staff of the Division, individual responsibility for the assumed tasks, assigned work; vresult-oriented work; veffective external and internal communications (horizontal and vertical); vwork for the image of the National Academy and the Division; vawareness of its specific role in promoting international cooperation of the National Academy.
Main areas of the Division’s activities 1) develops current, quarterly and annual work plans, makes proposals for the consideration of some issues within the scope of it competence and supervises their implementation; 2) provides and coordinates the cooperation with foreign and international partners for their involvement in training process, research and expert analysis activities of the National Academy in the field of public management and administration and support of public and administrative reforms; 3) promotes the participation of the National Academy in activities of international organizations, professional associations and networks; 4) searches for opportunities to attract foreign specialists to the educational and scientific process of building the institutional capacity of the National Academy; 5) to implement the technology of "open university" it provides the search of international partners, and promotes their involvement in lectures, seminars, including by the foreign language and in the distance format; 6) provides the fundraising activities, promotes the organization of cooperation with international financial and donor organizations for attracting the international technical assistance to improve activities of the National Academy in education, scientific, expert advice and management; 7) provides the international relations of the National Academy for the joint research on current issues of public management and administration, publications and joint publishing activity with foreign partners; 8) make proposals according to directions of developing in international activities of the National Academy; 9) identifies opportunities of the cooperation and conducts negotiations with representatives of foreign and international organizations to establish relations, win grants, involve the international experts and specialists; 10) develops programs and agreements on cooperation of the National Academy with foreign and international partners; coordinates the implementation of current and concluding new agreements on cooperation between the National Academy and foreign institutions.
Main areas of the Division’s activities 11) disseminates the official information according to activity of the National Academy among foreign and international partners; 12) promotes the development and the coordination of implementing the internationalization strategy of the National Academy; 13) assists in organizing the various communication events with the participation of international partners of the National Academy 14) assists to organize working meetings of the leadership of the National Academy with foreign delegations, groups and individual foreigners; 15) informs the representatives of the National Academy about opportunities of international academic mobility, international exchange programs, internships in government authorities and related institutions of foreign states, getting the double degree, conducting the joint research and communication events, participating the representatives of the National Academy in activities of international organizations, associations and networks; 16) provides the information and methodological support of foreign trips and visits of representatives of the National Academy in partner organizations; 17) participates in developing regulatory acts and analytical documents aimed at implementing the concept and strategy of the National Academy, the implementation of democratic standards, the modernization of management and administration, the implementation of the mission of the National Academy – to form the professional democratic managerial elite in Ukrainian society based on the modern scientific achievements and the technology of transfer knowledge according to implementing of the effective public administration; 18) provides the documentation management of main activities of the Division, makes proposals for improving the management of relevant documentation; 19) develops within the limits of it competence and submit for consideration to the President of the National Academy, proposals to improve the activities of the Division and the main activities of the National Academy.
