Aims: § Tell about the development of the motion picture industry as a modern American Art and a great man as Walt Disney. § Give some important information about the history of animation. § Develop students’ interests and outlooks in studying English. § Activate students’ speaking and listening skills.

WALT DISNEY A pioneer and innovator, Walt Disney could take the dreams of America, and make them come true. He was a creator, an imaginative, and aesthetic person.

CHILDHOOD Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago Illinois, to his father, Elias Disney and his mother, Flora Call Disney.

BEGINNING OF A JOURNEY Disney started shooting at night in the garage. He began to pursue a career in commercial art.

HOLLYWOOD In 1923, Walt Disney with his suitcase, and twenty dollars, went to Hollywood to start a new business.
