Levee InspectionAsset Management System Why did we do it? “We wanted to provide a state-of-the-art automated system which Levee Districts could easily use, regardless of staff size and technical capabilities, that would standardize the methodology, approach and most importantly, the reports being generated. “ Why not just use the Corp of Engineers LIS tool? - No “paper form” data collection process - The LIS tool is a GIS extension (What does this mean? ) - Much less time needed to generate reports (no photo matching required) - This is more of an Asset Management tool than just an inspection program! - Levee District specific Inventory collection
Levee InspectionAsset Management System Who can use it? A. DOTD B. C. D. OCPR Any Levee District in the State of Louisiana All of the above All development cost has been paid by DOTD, Server hardware, software, maintenance, web hosting costs are by DOTD; therefore the only cost to get started using the system is time! DOTD has Yuma’s for use by “others”. DOTD can provide training AND supplemental staff for inspections
