The Lord is our Shepherd Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths, for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Family Activities… Game: Trust Walk (Need blindfold – like a scarf | some obstacles | helpers) Take it in turns to be blindfolded, and importantly led through the obstacles by voice or holding hands. Ask: How did it feel? Why was it important that we were led? Think: Why is it brilliant news that Jesus leads us?

The week ahead… Here are some fun things that you could do this week! 1. Memory Verse Paper Plate Sheep Get some cotton wool, some glue and colouring pens – and create a paper plate sheep. Create a shepherds staff, write on Psalm 23 verse 1, “The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. ” Stick it on to the plate to help us remember that God looks after his people. 2.
