Trafficking ● Slavery NOT prostitution (especially in minors) ● What is Trafficking? ○ Force, Fraud, or Coercion. ● Jonah sees on average 15 -17 yr old girls and boys

Statistics ● In 2003, Washington became the first state to pass a law criminalizing Human Trafficking ● In 2008, the first study was taken in Spokane to estimate total trafficking victims in the area. At the time, the total estimate was 500 -600 victims ● 1 in 3 homeless kids will be solicited… …. 1 in 5 WILL BE TRAFFICKED

Statistics cont… ● 11 -12 is the average of a child taken into sexual slavery ● 15 is the average of a victim Jonah works with – we have helped 9 year olds and 53 year olds… ● 7 Years is the average lifespan of the women once they start being trafficked
