THE ITALIAN SCHOOL SYSTEM ITS (Istruzione Tecnica Superiore) are realized according to the organizational model of the Foundation of participation in collaboration with companies, universities/scientific and technological research centers, local authorities, education and training systems. They have a duration of two or three years (4/6 semesters - for a total of 1800/2000 hours). The internship is compulsory for 30% of the total hours and at least 50% of the teachers come from the world of work. 10

THE ITALIAN SCHOOL SYSTEM IFTS (Istruzione e Formazione Tecnica Superiore) Training and Higher Technical Training is an integrated training channel (realized in collaboration between the School, University, Enterprise, Training Agencies) for the training of Specialized Technicians, post-secondary professional figures, responding to the demand coming from the world of public and private work. 11
