The site currently contains two structures – one at Bayside and the other at Parkside. The structure at Parkside is situated underneath the overpasses for the A 4 Western Distributor Freeway. Incorporate demolition of the existing Convention Centre Building structures from Bayside and Parkside to establish a new Convention Centre covering the existing area (Bayside and Parkside).
Introduction • • The ground cover area for the new ICC is 19, 000 square meters. Design one unified building model for both the Bayside and Parkside areas of the site, taking into account the existing road infrastructure of the site (A 4 Freeway) which must not be altered. Total convention capacity to facilitate more than 12, 000 people. Event Deck providing a high quality dedicated outdoor event venue showcasing Sydney's spectacular city and harbour views.
Introduction • • Design around 2, 000 Sqm. Exhibition space in Convention centre. Provide Electrical, mechanical (HVAC), Fire safety, Plumbing, Telecommunication, Cat 5 Network etc. utilities. Design should be in compliance with Green star Level 6 Star as set out by the GBCA There is an existing underground car parking garage beneath the neighbouring ICC Exhibition Centre building structure. You should extend this facility underneath the Parkside area of the site to add space for 400 cars. Entry and egress should be located off of Darling Drive.
