THE HOUSE OF GOD
THE HOUSE OF GOD The Church is the people (Col 1 v 17 -24) The Church is also called the “Ekklesia/Ecclesia” which in a Christian sense can mean the following: An assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting A company of Christians, or of those who, hoping for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, observe their own religious rites, hold their own religious meetings, and manage their own affairs, according to regulations prescribed for the body for order's sake
THE HOUSE OF GOD Those who anywhere, in a city, village, constitute such a company and are united into one body The whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth The assembly of faithful Christians already dead and received into Heaven The Church is also called the “Family of GOD” > Hence the use of the term “Brothers and sisters”. > Father –in -the LORD or Mother-in- the LORD We really mean it when we call you a brother or sister in CHRIST >The Church is also called the family of GOD because this is a house founded by GOD and in which the NAME OF GOD and the Glory of GOD is resident.
