The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament • • • Introduction The Holy Spirit was active in the world from the Creation, one of three Divine persons: Gen 1: 1 -2; 1: 26; 3: 22; 11: 7 • • As we will see, He was involved with men throughout the Old Testament: Israel in the wilderness, Judges, Kings, Prophets • • So what did the Holy Spirit do in the Old Testament? 1) The Holy Spirit Revealed God’s Will- gave Law, Neh 9: 19 -20; spoke through prophets 2 Sam 23: 2; Mic 3: 5 -8 • • 2) Holy Spirit Equipped Men for God’s Work.
