The history Basketball was invented in 1891 in Springfield Massachusetts. The first basketball team ever name in a league wa OC. O. Beams. The all was created by a Canadain name james nasmith. The NBA was not created till 1964. In basketball they used a peach basket as a basketball net. The first game ever had the score of 1 -0 the first shot was from half court but thegym was only 54 feet 35. (modern court are 94 feet).
