Social media is an ever increasing factor in todays society, with a lot of us using it to communicate with friends and family. Though it may seem harmless putting your frustrations about your day up onto a social media platform, or taking a picture of you and your colleagues whilst at work, you could be without realising it, breaching the data protection legislation. If found to have breached on your personal social media, the Trust will not be held responsible but yourself individually. This could result in personal prosecution, and action taken by the Trust. Therefore always think twice before putting anything up on social media which is work related.
