History of Handshake The handshake goes way back to the beginning of humanity. It is a common way to say “hello” and a form of peace. It’s the most used non- verbal form of communication.
What TO do Make eye contact with the other person. Be sure to wash your hands before just to be prepared. Your body language means a lot, so don’t screw up! Get in the right position.
What NOT to do Try not to use your left hand. This could tick people off. Don’t shake longer than two seconds. Do not avoid eye contact.
Other Cultures In Brazil, you will get a firm handshake that’s a little longer what you are used to. You CAN’T handshake in Thailand. Handshakes last longer in Mexico. Men hug the person they great while women kiss each other on the cheek. In South Korea, the older person starts the handshake with a soft grip. In Morocco, you can only handshake a women if she offers it.
People with Disabilities Visually impaired… Use the senses they can use like touch and hearing. Missing or non-functioning right hand. . . Greet them with a “How you doing’! Or “Hey there!” If someone isn’t able to shake at all… Just greet them like you would with a person with a disability.
When to Shake Hands Its best always a good time to shake hands. When you are getting a job, give the boss or the interviewer a good handshake. When you find an old friend, you can give them a handshake to show you remember them. Even in the stores, you can give the cashier a handshake to show you are thankful.
What do you do if… Someone offers you their left hand… Tell them that its not a good idea. They have sweaty palms… Just give them a handshake and don’t disrespect them. Someone doesn’t shake when you offer… Just be cool with it. Its not the end of the world. Your hands are full…Just greet them with a “Hello there”.

Style 1 - The Bone Crusher In this handshake style, one of the hand shakers uses more strength than needed. They use too much force on the other person and makes them feels like their bone is being crushed.
Style 2 - The Dead Fish When the person feels like they are weak and have no hand bones. It’s the number two most used as well.
Style 3 - The Politition When the other person’s hand is firmly grasped with two hands.
Style 4 - The Hand wrestler Both of the people handshaking grab their hands like they are about to arm wrestle.
