' and we decided to get someone to sing. Clare Torry came in and she thought we were going to give her the top line and lyrics. We said, 'Just busk it. ' She was terrified – 'I don't know what to do. ' 'Just go in and improvise. EXPRESSIVE ELEMENTS Tempo: Starts off slow and eerie, tempo speeds up as the chords become more complex and more instruments are added in Timbre & Texture: Starts off with piano, the chords build, guitar is added, the layers become more thick, organ, bass, drum set and a female vocalist are added, then things become thin again, instruments fade out, all that is left is the vocalist, bass and pianist. Dynamics: Starts soft and delicate, calming, once everything starts building up the climax of the song hits and everything is loud, the singer sounds overwhelmed, but as the song progressive she sounds at peace. Dynamics used in this song go from the softest piano to the loudest fortissimo.
