Wanted to Kill Him -John 5: 18 • Because he was “breaking the Sabbath” • Because he was “calling God his own father, making himself equal with God. ”

What Greater Things Than Healing a Man Lame for 38 Years? • Resurrection from the dead and eternal life • “For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to all He will” (John 5: 21)

John 5: 24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. ”

John 5: 28 -29 “Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out. ”

Jesus is the Judge -John 5: 30 • “I do nothing on my own; it is by the will and authority of the Father” • “My judgment is just” because I hear and know all. • And the judgement is in line with “the will of Him who sent Me. ”

A principle of the Bible is that every legal matter should have multiple witnesses Deuteronomy 19: 15 “By the mouth of two or thee witnesses the matter shall be established. ”
