WHAT IS IT ABOUT? • The Global Poverty project is a network of Global Citizens working to gaining public, business and political commitment to end extreme poverty by 2030. • They are partners with Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which is a another global organization who are trying to eradicate Polio forever by advocating for their cause, public communications and awareness, helping them to get media coverage and supporting them in a range of fundraising campaigns.
WHAT DOES IT DO? • They work together with influential people businesses charities and government agencies to try and change and develop specific policies and practise to help abolish extreme poverty. • The Global Poverty Project focuses policy campaigning on six themes (health; education; food, water and sanitation; women and girls; innovation and enterprise; environmental sustainability) and three cross-cutting issues (aid quality; good governance; fair trading systems).

WHAT ARE THEIR CONCERNS? • The global Citizen project is concerned that too many of the world population are living in poverty. They are committed to helping the poorest of people and trying to get companies to help support their cause. • They want to prevent anyone from living in extreme poverty around the world by 2030.
HOW IS A THIS ORGANISATION AN EXAMPLE OF GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP? • This organisation is an example of global citizenship as it has people all over the world fighting for the same cause, to support the worlds poorest people, and supporting each other to achieve their goals. They communicate and strive to get their message out in the world to have more people join and help with their organisation.
