Climate It has a dry continental climate. The warm season has an average temperature above 65°F. The hottest day of the year has an average temperature of 74°F The cold season has an average temperature below 36°F. The coldest day with an average temperature of 7°F.

The energy industry combines conventional oil and gas with renewable energy. Oil was first discovered in Alberta in 1902, and in 1947, large amount of reserves were discovered in Calgary.
