The FULLNESS of Christ Eph 4: 11 -14 – Attain the Fullness of CHRIST !!! 1. Eph 4: 11 -14 ESV And He (Christ) gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 2. Ephesians 4: 11 -14 NLT …. Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth…. 3. In other words…. • 1. 2. 1. CHRIST is GIVING the Gifts of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & Teachers 2. To EQUIP God’s People (the Saints), the Body of Christ, the CHURCH 3. To Come to Maturity – which is the FULLNESS of CHRIST – the UNITY of the SPIRIT 4. To KNOW GOD and HIS TRUTH alone…!! NOTE: The Number 10 in the Bible was seen to indicate FULLNESS, Come to Completetion Num 14: 20 -23 And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. Because all those men which have seen My glory, and My miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted (tested) me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to My Voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: THUS: the Reason for Giving Tithes – Indicating I’m actually giving my everything (my fullness) to God…!!! GREEK: G 4138 - ple ro ma From G 4137 (G 4134 & G 4130); repletion or completion, that is, (subjectively) what fills (as contents, supplement, copiousness, multitude), or (objectively) what is filled (as container, performance, period): - which is put in to fill up, piece that filled up, fulfilling, full, fulness. 2. G 4130 - ple tho - A prolonged form of a primary word pleo (which appears only as an alternate in certain tenses and in the reduplicated form of pimple mi to “fill” (literally or figuratively [imbue, influence, supply]); specifically to fulfil (time): accomplish, full (. . . come), furnish. 3. HEBREW: H 7648 - s o ba‛ - From H 7646; satisfaction (of food or (figuratively) joy): - fill, full (-ness), satisfying, be satisfied. 4. H 7646 - s a ba‛ s a be a‛ - A primitive root; to sate, that is, fill to satisfaction (literally or figuratively): - have enough, fill (full, self, with), be (to the) full (of), have plenty of, be satiate, satisfy (with), suffice, be weary of. 5. The FULLNESS of Christ TIME…. FULLNESS…. SUDDENLY…. Gal 4: 4 ISV But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as His children. Act 2: 1 -4 ISV When the day of Pentecost came, all of them were together in one place. Suddenly, a sound like the roaring of a mighty windstorm came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated, and one rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them that ability.

The FULLNESS of Christ = Anointing, or Anointed One… 1. G 5547 – Christos - From G 5548; anointed, that is, the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus: Christ. 2. Epithet = A Characterizing word – firmly associated with Jesus often used in place of an Actual Name, Title or the like, eg: Lion of Judah, or Christ 3. In other words Jesus the CHRIST actually means – Jesus, the Anointed One with an Anointing !! 4. Anointing = To be SMEARED Upon (Rubbed in with oil), An Ability Given to you that you couldn’t do before… 5. THUS: Jesus was as human as we are(born of a Woman – just without sin), but when the Spirit of God came Upon Him at His Baptism, HE became the Christ (The Messiah) – the Anointed One, as He only then received His Anointing…( ability to do what He was called for to do…) 6. Luk 4: 17 And there was delivered unto Him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, he found the place where it was written , (Isa 61) 7. Luk 4: 18 -19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the 8. Luk 4: 20 -21 And He closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 9. It was only from then on Jesus started His ministry in the FULLNESS of God’s Spirit… 10. In Cana – Jesus performed His first Miracle – Water turning into Wine…: 11. Joh 2: 11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him. 12. After His baptism, and being tested in the Desert He started preaching and Teaching: 13. Mat 4: 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus was a Preacher, a Teacher, a Prophet, a Pastor and an Evangelist…An Apostle, Seeking only the Glory and Honour of His Father… Joh 7: 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Joh 8: 50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. He preached and Taught in all the Cities and Synagogues and in the Temple in Jerusalem, performing Signs and Wonders and Miracles…( Mat 4: 23, Mat 9: 35, Mar 6: 2, Luk 13: 10 ) The Woman at the Well (John 4), clearly understood that Jesus was a Prophet, and after a short discussion, even started to realise that He was the Messiah too. . In John 10 – Jesus said of Himself – I am the Good Shepherd – laying down His life for the Sheep – and that He isn’t just another Hireling… See Jesus’ answer to John the Baptist in Mat 11…and other scriptures… Mat 11: 1 -5 When Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he left there to teach and preach in their cities. Now when John in prison heard about the activities of Christ, he sent a message by his disciples and asked him, "Are you the Coming One, or should we wait for someone else? " Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John what you hear and observe: the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the destitute hear the good news…. 9. Mark 4: 33 -34 ISV With many other parables like these Jesus kept speaking the word to them according to their ability to understand them. He did not tell them anything without using a parable, though he explained everything to his disciples in private. 10. Mat 9: 35 -35 ISV Then Jesus began traveling through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every illness. When He saw the crowds, He was deeply moved with compassion for them, because they were troubled and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 11. Luk 7: 13 -17 When the Lord saw her, he felt compassion for her. He said to her, "You can stop crying. " Then He went up and touched the open coffin, and the men who were carrying it stopped. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. Fear gripped everyone, and they began to praise God, saying, "A great prophet has appeared among us, " and "God has helped his people. " This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding countryside.

Act 10: 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing 5. Heb 12: 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him 6. Rev 1: 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince 7. 2 Thes 3: 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you , and keep you from evil. 8. From this we can see that Jesus lived ( and is still living ) in the fullness of Time, Will and Spirit of God…as He walked and Lived in God’s LOVE 9. Mat 5: 17 -18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to Gal 5: 22 -23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Joh 15: 13 Greater love hath no man this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14. 1 John 4: 7 -8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 15. 1 John 4: 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him… 16. Eph 1: 22 -23 And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the Church, Which is His Body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all. The FULLNESS of Christ The CHURCH Must now Walk in this Fullness… 1. We started with Eph 4: 11 – Stating that Christ Gave GIFTS of Apostles, Preachers, Prophets, Teachers etc… to bring the Church to FULL MATURITY the Gifts, the Fruits & the 5 -fold Ministry COMING TOGETHER as 1 UNIT IN GOD…Spiritual Unity 2. The Rest of Eph 4 – explains this in more detail… 3. Eph 4: 1 -7 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation 4. Eph 4: 16 -17 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint 5. Eph 4: 23, 32 … be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, 6. As the Body/the Church – each one of us, must come together in Unity in the Spirit (Knit together in Love Col 2: 2) – in order to Fulfil God’s plan in us and through us – the Mystery – Christ in us – the HOPE of GLORY !! (Col 1: 27, See also: Eph 1: 9 -11, ) 7. Gal 5: 16, 24 -25 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. And they 8. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ…. . supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, …. forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. But if Christ is in you, your bodies are dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. As all of us reflect the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, we are being transformed into the same image with ever-increasing glory by the Lord's Spirit.

The FULLNESS of Christ The REASON for the Fullness of Christ… 1. The REASON: For the SONS of God to be Revealed – in order to SHOW FORTH GOD’s Glory in the EARTH – and thus also to set creation FREE from the Bondage of corruption it was placed under because of sin that entered the world through Adam’s Disobedience… 2. John 8: 34 -36 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant 3. Rom 8: 18 -19 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the 4. Rom 8: 20 -21 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath 5. Heb 2: 14 -15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself likewise took 6. 1 Cor 15: 24 -25 Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the 7. 1 Cor 15: 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 8. 1 Cor 15: 27 a For He (God) hath put all things under His (Jesus’) feet…. 9. 1 Cor 15: 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. Him (God the Father) that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. 10. Heb 11: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they (Faith Heroes) without us should not be made perfect. 11. In this way – when WE come into the FULLNESS of Christ as the Body, the Church, the SONS of God, then all the Faith Heroes over all the ages will be made Perfect with us…and will be subjected with Christ unto God Himself…!!! ***** A M E N *****
