The FULLNESS of Christ Eph 4: 11 -14 – Attain the Fullness of CHRIST

The FULLNESS of Christ Eph 4: 11 -14 – Attain the Fullness of CHRIST !!! 1. Eph 4: 11 -14 ESV And He (Christ) gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 2. Ephesians 4: 11 -14 NLT …. Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth…. 3. In other words…. • 1. 2. 1. CHRIST is GIVING the Gifts of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & Teachers 2. To EQUIP God’s People (the Saints), the Body of Christ, the CHURCH 3. To Come to Maturity – which is the FULLNESS of CHRIST – the UNITY of the SPIRIT 4. To KNOW GOD and HIS TRUTH alone…!! NOTE: The Number 10 in the Bible was seen to indicate FULLNESS, Come to Completetion Num 14: 20 -23 And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. Because all those men which have seen My glory, and My miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted (tested) me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to My Voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: THUS: the Reason for Giving Tithes – Indicating I’m actually giving my everything (my fullness) to God…!!! (also compare 40 = 10 times 4 Coming Full Cycle)
