The Third Estate • • “Everybody else” 25 million – 97% of population Heavily taxed THREE SUB GROUPS – BOURGEOISIE -Wealthy merchants, doctors, lawyers, etc. – WORKERS – artisans, skilled laborers – PEASANTS - 21 Million
