Luke 4: 16 -21 TPT 16– 17 When he came to Nazareth, where he had been raised, he went into the synagogue, as he always did on the Sabbath day. When Jesus came to the front to read the Scriptures, they handed him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and read where it is written, 18– 19“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun. ” 20 After he read this he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the minister, and sat down. Everyone stared at Jesus, wondering what he was about to say. 21 Then he added, “These Scriptures came true today in front of you. ”

II. FREEDOM FROM BROKENNESS Luke 4: 33 -35 TPT 33 In the congregation there was a demonized man, who screamed out with a loud voice, 34“Hey, you! Go away and leave us alone. I know who you are. You’re Jesus of Nazareth, God’s holy one. Why are you coming to meddle with us? You have come to destroy us already!” 35 Just then the demon hurled the man down on the floor in front of them all. But Jesus rebuked the demon, “Be quiet and come out of him!” And the demon came out of him without causing him any harm. **JESUS CAME TO DESTROY THAT WHICH DESTROYS US!”

III. FREEDOM FROM SIN Matthew 4: 17 TPT 17 From that time on Jesus

III. FREEDOM FROM SIN Matthew 4: 17 TPT 17 From that time on Jesus began to proclaim his message with these words: “Keep turning away from your sins and come back to God, for heaven’s kingdom realm is now accessible. ” John 8: 34 -36 TPT 34“I speak eternal truth, ” Jesus said. “When you sin you are not free. You’ve become a slave in bondage to your sin. 35 And slaves have no permanent standing in a family, like a son does, for a son is a part of the family forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free from sin, then become a true son and be unquestionably free!

IV. FREEDOM FROM THE MUNDANE Matthew 4: 18 -20 TPT 18 As he was walking by the shore of Lake Galilee, Jesus noticed two fishermen who were brothers. One was nicknamed Simon (later called Peter), and the other was Andrew, his brother. Watching as they were casting their nets into the water, 19 Jesus called out to them and said, “Come and follow me, and I will transform you into men who catch people for God. ” 20 Immediately they dropped their nets and left everything behind to follow Jesus.
