The Future of FEAD (Cohesion Policy after 2020) §ESF+ The ESF+ merges the following funds and programmes: Ø the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI); Ø the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD); Ø the Employment and Social Innovation (Ea. SI) programme; Ø the Programme for the Union’s action in the field of health (the Health Programme)

In comparison to the 11 "thematic objectives" for 2014 -2020, the new Cohesion Policy

In comparison to the 11 "thematic objectives" for 2014 -2020, the new Cohesion Policy will concentrate its resources on 5 objectives. 11 "thematic objectives" 5 policy objectives Activities under the FEAD are within the "thematic objective" No. 4 (CP 4): Ø A more social Europe - Implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights Member States spend at least 2% of their ESF + funding on a specific objective (xi) on material deprivation - the fight against extreme poverty - and its aspects that have the greatest impact on social exclusion, i. e. homelessness, child poverty and food deprivation this scope of intervention is associated with the continuation of the support provided so far under the European Fund for Aid to the Most In Need - FEAD.
