And He said, ’ Take heed that you are not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying ‘I am the Christ; and the (kairos) time draws near: go not after them. But when you hear of wars & commotions, be not terrified: for these things must come to pass; but the end is not by & by. ’

Then He said to them, ‘ Nation shall rise against nation & kingdom against kingdom: & great earthquakes shall be in diverse places & famines & pestilences & fearful sights & great signs shall there be from heaven. 12 -13. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you & persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues & into prisons, brought before kings for My Name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14 -15. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what you shall answer. For I will give you a mouth & wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 16 -17. And you shall be betrayed both by parents & brethren & kinfolk & friends; some of you they shall cause to be put to death. And you shall be hated of all men for My Name’s sake. 18. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your patience, posses your souls. ‘

20. When you see Jerusalem compasses with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21. Then let them who are in Judea flee to the mountains, & let them which are in the midst of it depart out; & let not them that are in the countries enter therein. 22. For these are the Days of Vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23. But woe to them are with child & and to them that give suck in those days!
