Shakespeare in America -There are many ways Shakespeare has influenced America including plays, movies, poems, writing, and more. -Some plays about Shakespeare include “The King” “ 10 things I hate About You” “Lady Macbeth” “The Merchant of Venice” and even “The Lion King”. -Some poems that were either written by him or influenced by him were “Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day? ” “Complaint of Rosamund” “Sonnet 130” “Sonnet 18” “Venus and Adonis” and countless more. -I said writing because we have improved from the way he wrote over time and again with the poems and things like that. So Shakespeare has also influenced America with his ways of “inventing” genres in writing and in plays, his storytelling and how he implemented some of that into his plays, and overall impacting how we think and learn about plays, writing, movies, and more.
