OVER HUNTING � Overhunting is the exploitation of wildlife and has resulted in many species becoming extinct or endangered. � The rate at which animals are killed is greater than the rate at which they can reproduce and replenish their population size

BIODIVERSITY AND OVER HUNTING � Biodiversity refers to the variety of living organisms on earth • Over hunting decreases biodiversity • A decrease in biodiversity will upset the dynamic equilibrium of the earth’s ecosystems
