THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD SERVICE / VOLUNTEERING To encourage voluntary service to individuals and the community Examples: St John’s Ambulance, supporting younger pupils in sporting activities, cooking club, Transition

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD SKILLS To encourage the development of practical, social and personal skills Choir; Cookery; Musical instruments; Sporting technical skills

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD PHYSICAL RECREATION Archery; Boxing; Caving; Cycling; Dance; Football; Weight training

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD EXPEDITIONS Skills developed: map reading, route planning; navigation, camping & camp craft; team leadership. . . There will be a cost of up to £ 100 for expedition weekends, but often this will be significantly less.
