The DRC Determines Reasonable Academic Accommodations for Students • The Disability Resource Center (DRC) determines all academic accommodations for students with disabilities. • Students seeking academic accommodations must first register with the DRC. 1
Accommodation Notices • Faculty will receive an email with a student’s accommodation letter. Accommodations should start the date the email is received. • Faculty should follow verbatim what is on the accommodation letter and contact the DRC with any need for clarification. Disability and Confidentiality Disability Information is confidential by law • Faculty should not inquire about a student’s disability or request documentation of disability. • Faculty should only discuss (in private) accommodations as described on the student’s accommodation letter. • Faculty should be cognizant to not draw attention to the student’s disability status or registration with the DRC. 5
Exams taken in the DRC • Exams taken in the DRC are scheduled through the Clock. Work portal found in My. Wings > Faculty Resources Icon > Faculty Tools > Clockwork • Professors, students, and the DRC all receive an email notification about exam scheduling status.
