Heads up – changes coming up § For DLI, keep dealing with the licence as is for the next year § PUMFs (except two) are free since April 1 st 2011 § Microdata Release Committee still requires users to sign a licence before getting access to PUMFs § Because PUMFs are free, organizations can obtain a copy after signing the licence § Allows professors/researchers/students to work with organization who now can have their copy of PUMFs 10 Statistics Canada • Statistique Canada 1/26/2022
Example: Health Services Project § One of your professors has secured a SSHRC/CURA grant and is working with a local Health Region to determine which services should be made available and where. To do this, he is using Census data at the DA level as well as other DLI products such as CCHS PUMFs. Questions to Consider: § § What is the issue? Is the user authorized? Is the use authorized? Group Work § Each group will be given a scenario which requires careful thought before resolution.
